Our Dams

Hope is our beautiful German-bred Dam from Brachttal, Germany. Imported from the renowned Cavaliere vom Kaninchengarten - “Cavaliers in the Rabbit Garden" program of Anika and Stephan Stahl.

Affectionately known as Schatzi, German for “little darling,” she has certainly lived up to her name.

Hope comes from an accomplished and beautiful Cavalier family. Her siblings include littermate Grand Champion I Want to Break Free vom Kaninchengarten (“Freddie”), multiple BIS, BISS and International Champion Paddington vom Kaninchengarten, and Grand Champion X-Man vom Kaninchengarten (“Logan”).

We are honored to have Hope as part of our family and breeding program.

Hope came to us with comprehensive European breeding health certifications. Since coming to the United States, she has been AKC registered and has completed additional health and genetic testing.

Our Schatzi

Schatzi is a wonderful mother and has given us beautiful, healthy puppies with the lovely temperament we value so highly in our Cavaliers.

She welcomed her first litter in Spring 2025—six beautiful puppies, five girls and one boy—and her second litter later that year, three handsome boys.

We intentionally skipped her following heat to give her additional time between litters.

Hope's next litter is planned for Fall 2026, depending upon her natural heat cycle.

We couldn't be happier with what Schatzi has contributed to Thunder Pups Farm, both as a mother and as the much-loved little darling of our family.

Katie is our beautiful Tricolor Cavalier with an excellent lineage and a wonderful combination of personality, energy and classic Cavalier beauty.

Health & Pedigree

Katie has completed her breed-appropriate health and genetic testing and achieved her full CHIC certification in June 2026. We will continue her cardiac and eye clearances annually, as we do with all of our breeding Cavaliers.

Our Little Spitfire

Katie is our little spitfire—bright, playful and seemingly equipped with an endless supply of energy.

She's also a wonderfully patient Auntie to Maggie and loves spending her days playing with Hope. Beneath all that energy is the enormous heart and affectionate nature that make Cavaliers so special.

Katie is planned for her first litter with her next heat cycle in 2026. We are very excited to see what this beautiful girl contributes to the next generation of Thunder Pups.

We are delighted to introduce Maggie, our first legacy Thunder Pup! After watching Isabella's beautiful final daughter grow, we simply couldn't part with her.

Maggie represents something especially meaningful to our preservation program: the opportunity to carry forward a Thunder Pups line while continuing our focus on health, temperament and genetic diversity.

Health, Genetics & Pedigree

Genetic diversity is one of our priorities in preserving the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Maggie, like her mother Isabella, has a lower coefficient of inbreeding (COI) than the average Cavalier, something we value when planning for future generations.

Maggie has a carefully planned pedigree through both her Dam and Sire, with accomplished AKC Grand Champions and international Best in Show Champions in her lineage.

She is AKC registered and as she matures, Maggie will complete all required breed-appropriate health testing before entering our breeding program.

Our Velcro Love Bug

For now, Maggie's only job is to grow up and be loved.

She discovered the joy of rolling onto her back for belly rubs when she was just three weeks old, and she hasn't changed her mind since. Maggie still requests belly rubs many times a day and has grown into our affectionate little Velcro love bug.

Maggie will not reach breeding age until Winter 2028. Until then, we're simply enjoying watching our first homebred legacy girl grow and develop.

We have great hopes for Maggie and are excited to see what the future holds for the next generation of Thunder Pups.
